Shipping, Returns, and Damage Policies
COVID-19 Update: USPS has officially stated that packages may take 1 more day than expected to be delivered. We are still processing orders M-F. Due to the large volume of orders your order may be delayed by 1 business day. There don't appear to be any delays with UPS Ground.
Most orders are shipped the same day Monday through Friday when ordered before 2PM EST.
There are several items you'll encounter throughout the site that ship for free. At checkout the shipping method will be shown for those items. Orders over $199 ship free via UPS Ground.
Items under 1 lb, that do not ship for free, have a $3.99 shipping charge and ship via USPS First Class. Orders that are 1 lb to 5 lbs typically ship via USPS Priority Mail, and cost $7.99. All other orders over 5 lbs ship for $10 until your cart reaches $199.
Smaller non-hazardous items (water based paint, spray tips, brushes, etc.) ship via USPS First Class (2-3 days) or USPS Priority Mail (1-3 days). Larger items, including limited quantity hazardous items such as alkyd based paint, or epoxy ship via UPS Ground. Orders of multiple gallons, caulk, or quarts typically ship via UPS Ground.
Please view the UPS Ground shipping map below to get an estimate of delivery time. Note, most items that ship via USPS will be delivered in 2-3 days regardless of your location.
99% of items are shipped from our warehouse in Pontiac, MI. It is very rare, but some items may be shipped from a manufacturer, or distributor. You will be contacted by email if this is the case and delivery times are typically the same, or faster.

Our policy lasts 30 days from the order date. If your request for return is past day 30, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. We are also flexible, so do not hesitate to email, or call us.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. There are no returns on tinted paint, or any premixed paint that has been used.
We test all colors from any manufacturer that is not Benjamin Moore to ensure that the color is correct. We also keep a small sample for reference.
It's very rare that a color we tint from another manufacturer is not accurate.
Any tinted paint or custom colors. This is industry standard. If it's our fault that the color is wrong, we will always replace the item.
This policy includes cancellations. We cannot cancel any orders that have already been mixed.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
When you are approved for your refund, it will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a few days.

We pay return, and outgoing shipping costs for any order that is incorrect. Our error rate is less than 1%. If this does happen, we always make it right, and you will not have to pay shipping costs.
For any other type of return, please contact us for a shipping label. We do not refund outgoing shipping charges. This includes any shipping cost to us with total orders over $199 that ship free.
We try to over-pack every shipment that leaves our warehouse to ensure that your package is safe throughout the delivery process and rarely encounter damaged packages.
If you happen to have damage, please contact us with pictures. On occasion, some items may be shipped to you with minor dents, and dings. While we strive to send you items in pristine condition, we don't always receive items in pristine condition from manufacturers.
We will handle the claims process with UPS or USPS so you do not have to.
